Brian Peterson is an award-winning B2B and B2C communications and marketing executive with many successes in designing, creating, and executing initiatives that have produced measurable results for some of the world’s biggest brands. Most recently, he served as the Head of PR for Esri, a billion-dollar international technology company that is the world leader in mapping software and geospatial data. Brian also served as vice president, corporate communications for Fox Cable Networks’ portfolio that included 37 television networks and 550 million subscribers. Prior to joining FCN’s corporate communications as director in 2007, Brian was the director of media relations for Fox Sports North in Minneapolis and served on the Board of Governors with the National Television Academy Upper Midwest Chapter. Brian was also a senior editor and project manager with the NFL’s creative services division in Los Angeles for more than 12 years, working with GameDay magazine, NFL Insider magazine, NFL.com, SuperBowl.com, General Mills, Miller Brewing, and RCA. He worked for the U.S. Olympic Committee during the 1988 Olympic Games, was assistant public relations director for the 1990 U.S. Olympic Festival, and has authored numerous magazine articles and books, including Terrell Davis: DK Readers Series, The World of NASCAR, Mark Martin: Perennial Contender, The World of NASCAR, Rusty Wallace: Short Track to Success, and Stadium Stories: Missouri Tigers. Brian graduated with honors from Pepperdine University with a Masters of Business Administration, and received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri. He serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Redlands, teaching marketing management, marketing strategy, and principles of marketing.
